A whole house water filter removes sediment, silt, sand, dirt and cysts down to 1 micron at your primary supply entry source. (1 micron is 1/25,000 of an inch, a human hair is about 100 microns in diameter). It installs anywhere past the water meter on the cold water line. This sediment pre-filter housing and cartridge is designed for 1 main water lines, with 15 gpm of water peak recommended flow. It lasts about 6 months. Great for your water taste and odor improvement throughout the home. Has a pressure relief button to make it easier to change filter cartridges. The replaceable pleated cartridges are standard 9 3/4 long by 2 1/2" diameter cartridges. Inlet and outlet are 1" female pipe threads.Installation may require a plumber.
